How We Do Things Differently: A Compassionate & Scientific Approach to Your Transformation
Are you feeling frustrated and struggling to reach your weight loss goals or maintain a healthy lifestyle? Trust me, I've been there too. As a fitness, nutrition, and mindset coach, I understand the challenges and roadblocks that can get in the way of transforming your body and mind.
How We Do Things Differently: A Compassionate & Scientific Approach to Your Transformation - what do we actually mean? Well...read on.
Drawing on my background in Human Geography, where I specialised in the very issues we're facing, like obesity, food security, and the influence of our surroundings, I'm here to offer you something different. Together, we'll embark on a journey that combines mindset, environment design, habits, fitness, and nutrition to help you achieve sustainable weight loss and optimal health.
Background & Credentials
I'm not just throwing theories around—I've got the knowledge and credentials to back it up. After completing my BA (Hons.) Degree in Human Geography at the University of Southampton, I took it a step further and became a Certified Holistic Health Coach through The Institute of Integrative Nutrition. This means I've delved into over 100 dietary theories and holistic nutrition, broadening my understanding of what influences our well-being.
Proven System for Weight Loss and Lifestyle Transformation
Let's get down to business and focus on what really works. Since 2018, I've been working closely with clients, just like you, on their personal journeys to weight loss, improved mindset, and overall health. Through these experiences, I've developed a proven system that covers all the essential elements for a successful transformation.
The statistics show what works. But the real transformation tends to be in your confidence. Not just for clients who are 146kg, but also for clients who are around 50-60kg, which is above normal for them. Weight is relative to each individual.
Mindset
I know that shifting your mindset is crucial for long-term success. I've been there, battling self-doubt and limiting beliefs. Together, we'll identify and overcome those roadblocks, create empowering habits, and cultivate a resilient mindset to navigate any obstacles that come our way.
Environment Design
Your surroundings can either support or hinder your progress. I understand the influence of our physical and social environments. That's why I'm here to help you transform your living spaces, work environments, and social circles into a nurturing and health-promoting atmosphere.
Habits
Our daily habits shape our lives and our bodies. I've struggled with unhealthy habits too, and I've learned how to break free from them. Our programme helps you pinpoint those habits that aren't serving you and replace them with sustainable ones that align with your goals. We'll take it one step at a time to build a solid foundation for long-lasting change.
Fitness and Movement
I know that exercise can feel daunting, especially when it's not enjoyable. But I'm here to help you find activities that you genuinely love. We'll discover ways to incorporate movement into your daily life, making it an integral and enjoyable part of your routine.
Nutrition: Trust me, I understand the confusion and overwhelm when it comes to food choices.
That's why I advocate for a simple and sustainable approach to nutrition. We'll focus on real, unprocessed foods that nourish your body and provide the fuel it needs. Together, we'll unlearn the misleading messages of the current dietary environment and empower you to make informed food choices.
Scientifically Backed Approaches
Let's dive into the science, shall we? There's solid evidence supporting specific dietary approaches for weight loss and addressing lifestyle-related diseases.
It's no news that the ketogenic diet, with its high fat, moderate protein, and low carbohydrate approach, has shown positive outcomes in weight management and metabolic health. Additionally, the paleo diet, which centres around whole, unprocessed foods, has been linked to weight loss, improved blood sugar control, and reduced risk of chronic diseases.
"We don't rely on either of these theories and instead focus on a unique blend of natural food and movement to help you burn body fat, without feeling deprived or hungry"
By cutting out highly processed foods and their harmful additives, preservatives, and excessive sugars, we can make significant strides toward improved health and weight management.
Enjoyment, Education, and Sustainability
I want your journey to be filled with joy, education, and sustainability. Healthy living shouldn't be a chore—it should be something you genuinely enjoy. Together, we'll discover foods and activities that bring you pleasure and fulfillment. We'll foster a positive relationship with your body and nourish it, not just physically, but also mentally and emotionally. Our aim is to create sustainable practices that will become second nature to you.
