Our consultations, plans and wellness talks are all about getting you from where you are to where you want to be, through a proven framework of lifestyle factors, habit formation, knowledge building and identity change.

We combine our knowledge of nutrition with a holistic approach and real life application. Life is not a box of chocolates... it's quite a lot more complicated than that. So, rather than a lot of nutrition knowledge that is handed out in a clinical office, with very little real world application, we start with you.

Our environment, our culture, our economic situation and even the consumptions spaces that we are surrounded by have a huge part to play in our likelihood of struggling with our weight and mental health.

You won't find me in a doctors office or through an online directory. My background is in the Epidemiology of Obesity, a subject currently being studied globally, under the Geographies of Health. Simply put, that's how us humans interact with and are affected by the world around us. We don't exist in a vacuum, which is why many 'diets' without considering other aspects of your life, simply won't work.
Epidemiology is the study of the spread of disease (for identifying risk factors and reducing the risk) and obesity remains one of the fastest growing causes of ill health in the modern world. In fact, as I write, it currently contributes to more death than COVID, war and terrorism combined. Far from this, the current food system is also responsible for an endemic lack of energy, sports performance struggles and that growing feeling of dread as you try and squeeze into the jeans that fit you perfectly last year.

Having transformed myself through food and lifestyle changes, I have a huge belief, that food is one of the most powerful (and accessible) drugs we have available to us. What we put into our bodies helps to form not only how we look but also how we feel and perform.
In a world where we have never had better access to food, instead of getting healthier, we are getting sicker. We all have the power to change our lifestyle and heal a number of our ailments, from the inside out.

At university I studied the geographies of health and obesity and how the world around us can have an incredible affect on our health. Everything from our ancestry and family background, to our income and even whether or not we live in a city, can have a hugely profound impact on our health.
To expand on this knowledge I studied with the Institute of Integrative Nutrition which equips you with a background in hundreds of different dietary theories. From fad diets to practices steeped in thousands of years of tradition from a number of the world's leading thinkers, scientists and athletes.

The real 'credentials' however, lie in the number of confident clients, businesses & partners. Reviews from real people, achieving real results is proof that this 'real life' approach works. Weight loss (or fat loss more specifically) plays a part in a lot of people's health journeys and since starting in 2020 our clients have collectively lost over 350kgs (at the time of writing).

SO I GUESS YOU WANT THE REAL STORY
I love food, which combined with mainstream dietary advice lead to some very chubby teenage years. University saw me try and out-exercise a high carbohydrate, low fat diet and fail. A few symptoms I had included feeling tired, fatigued, a lack of concentration, constant hunger, bad skin and a few extra kilos (probably a good 12+).
Following a considerable number of fitness and nutrition revelations and lifestyle changes, I seem to have found a pretty good balance. I have great energy (sometimes too much) and am considerably fitter and healthier than I was 15 years ago. It's been no easy ride with considerable challenges along the way. So, you can rest assured that if you decide this is the right approach for you, you'll be dealing with a real person, who likely knows (at least a little) what you might be struggling with.
